New approach
I need to break this cycle of losing weight and then getting disheartened and piling it all back on again. I suppose one of the problems is that I take it all too seriously, when I'm trying to lose weight I'm normally weighing myself a couple of times a day and always thinking about what I should be eating and what exercise I should be doing. I think the reason I keep failing is that it's too artificial so never really becomes part of my everyday life.
So, as of this weekend, I am starting again with a different approach.
Instead of concentrating on weight loss (or gain!) I'm going to only concentrate on food and exercise because that is all that really matters in the end. In way of preparation I have made a couple of purchases:
So, as of this weekend, I am starting again with a different approach.
Instead of concentrating on weight loss (or gain!) I'm going to only concentrate on food and exercise because that is all that really matters in the end. In way of preparation I have made a couple of purchases:
- A steamer for cooking
- A smoothie maker for upping fruit intake
- An Exercise Bike for exercising
The plan is to get at least some exercise every day and make sure that most of the food I eat is healthy(er).
I've made a decent start so far; lots of fruit and vegetables have been consumed and I have exercised each night for around 30-45mins each session. I haven't weighed myself and I'm not going to focus on that side of things.
The plan is to make this lifestyle a habit rather than a chore.
